Freelance Collaborators

Meridian Hill Pictures regularly seeks to expand its network of collaborating local documentary filmmakers. Specifically, MHP seeks individuals who have experience as Directors of Photography, Editors, Production Assistants, and Media Teaching Artists/Community Media Educators to collaborate on a variety of the studio's documentary and media education projects. Meridian Hill Pictures offers an excellent opportunity for experienced, entrepreneurial documentary filmmakers seeking  to flourish creatively and professionally at an exciting and growing mission-driven company.

Studio Space Available

We are currently seeking 1-2 partners to share space with us over the summer in our studio located in NW DC's Josephine Butler Parks Center. Monthly space rental includes a dedicated desk in a collaborative workspace with high ceilings and historic floor-to-ceiling windows, shared coffeepot, fridge, microwave, bathroom, high-speed Comcast wi-fi, and separate lounge area. Space rental also includes access to shared parts of the Josephine Butler Parks Center, including the conservatory/conference room, lobby waiting room, balconies overlooking Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park, and more. Access to Meridian Hill Pictures' shared printer is available for a small additional fee. The MHP studio is an excellent and inspiring space to focus on creative work, surrounded by an inspiring community of other artists, educators and social do-gooders.

We are ideally seeking individuals who work in related and complementary fields to Meridian Hill Pictures' work, share similar creative sensibilities and dedication to community storytelling. Ideal partners may include freelance cinematographers, editors, producers, teaching artists, web designers, and creative technologists.
